Dear Parents,
There is not too much to report on this week - given our short week.
If you would like to be involved as a parent supporter of the school, please come along to a Home and School meeting. Home and school is our version of a PTA. It's a friendly environment where parents, teachers and school management meet to discuss ways to support the school. Details of the next meeting can be found above.
We have updated our Dig Deep for Doug notice. There is a party on the hill planned for 24 July, see advert below. The auction proceeds go to Doug. Doug has started his Keytruda treatment. He will need to have $80k upfront before he can start on the Yervoy treatment. So far we raised $30k!! So please support the auction. Every donation gets us closer to the goal.
I am acutely aware of the amount of time we ask for donations for a range of things.
When students asks if we can support Jammies in June, they don't understand that parents are continually giving and that sometimes it may just be too hard an ask. However, I am always keen to support children who show initiative and who want to rally people for a cause. There is a balance to be struck here. Consequently we will hold a Pyjama Day tomorrow and it will be voluntary. If you come in PJ's can you please donate a gold coin for this worthy cause?
I would like to acknowledge Anthony Stoppard for doing some work for the school last week. He did the job for free because he wanted to support his local school. We are deeply grateful. If you ever need roofing services please consider using him.
Thank you for your contributions towards keeping our ship sailing.
Regards
Paul & Team.

Franklin Soccer Year 5 & 6
On Wednesday 2nd June, 35 Students from the Kotuitui Year 5-6 went to Tuakau to participate in the Franklin Football Tournament. All students had a great day out and showed great sportsmanship and fair play.
The Year 5 Boys Team came in 3rd Place and the Year 5 Girls played 8 games and won 6 and had 2 draws.
The Year 6 teams had mixed results during the day but gave each game 100% and really enjoyed the experience of playing against different schools.
A massive thank you to the parents who managed/coached a team on the day. Days like this cannot happen without your support. So again thank you
